Introduction: (10 minutes)

- Explain that the lesson will help them understand how plants are beneficial to us and how they can take care of their hands and feet.
Part 1: Uses of Plants (20 minutes)
- Show pictures or flashcards of various plants.
- Discuss the different uses of plants:
- Food: Fruits, vegetables, and grains.
- Medicine: Herbs like mint, aloe vera.
- Clothing: Cotton plants for cotton clothes.
- Shelter: Trees provide wood for building homes.
- Air Quality: Plants produce oxygen.
- Engaging Activity:
- Hand out coloring sheets with different plants and their uses.
- Allow students to color while discussing how each plant on their sheet is used.
Part 2: Care of Hands and Feet (20 minutes)
- Ask students why they think it’s important to clean their hands and feet.
- Demonstrate and explain:
- How to properly wash hands with soap and water.
- Steps to trim nails safely using nail clippers.
- Applying lotion to keep skin soft and prevent dryness.
- Engage the students in a hands-on activity:
- Have a handwashing session where students wash their hands following the demonstrated steps.
- Allow them to practice trimming nails with supervision (use toy nail clippers if better).
- Discuss the importance of drying hands and feet well after washing to prevent fungus.
Conclusion: (10 minutes)
- Recap the key points: Different uses of plants and steps to take care of hands and feet.
- Let the students share one thing they learned about plants and one about hand/foot care.
- Distribute a simple worksheet with pictures for students to match plants with their uses and color, as well as pictures showing steps for hand and foot care.

- Review the colored sheets and worksheets to ensure they understand the uses of plants and the care routines for their hands and feet.

- Ask students to draw one plant they see around their home and write what it is used for.
